It was Saturday morning, and in the Koomson household, the couple were getting ready for their day out.
The past two days had been gentle steps for them. They had spoken to each other nicely throughout the days and had been careful to ensure the smallest acts were ones full of love and consideration for the other. It was a slow but steady process at rekindling the flame they had, and hopefully, that day would be another small step towards it.

Winnie stood before her closet, a thoughtful expression on her face. She surveyed her array of clothing options, each one carefully selected for the day’s outing to the go-kart race track.
“Mmmmm, should I go with… nah, I don’t like this one… uhhh… no, I don’t think I’m in the mood for skirts today… oh, definitely not a turtleneck. Not in this hot weather…”
For the next few minutes, her mind buzzed with ideas as she rummaged through her clothes, trying to find something suitable for the day out.
Then, a mischievous smile tugged at her lips as a playful thought crossed her mind.
Maybe I should wear something that’ll drive Nicky crazy. You know, something comfortable for the day, and something that’ll keep his eyes on me all throughout…
In the past two days, a lot of bitterness had evaporated from her heart with every sweet and kind action of his. And now, she couldn’t help but feel a bit of naughtiness rise to the surface. She was in the mood to tease him. And one way to do that would definitely be to wear something spicy.
And with that in mind, I know just the thing to wear. Where did I put that jumpsuit…

Today was the day he had planned to rekindle the flame that seemed to flicker in the midst of the recent challenges he and Winnie had faced.
As Nicky stepped out of the room, feeling confident in his black unbuttoned shirt over a white T-shirt and jeans, he felt pretty excited. Considering how slowly things were coming together for the two of them, he was pretty hyped up about the outing. He had been intentional about being gentle towards Winnie, and she, in turn, was also being intentional about reducing his stress levels and all.
“Winnie, you almost done?” he called out.
“Yeah, I’ll be out in a minute!” came the response.
Nicky nodded, then took out his dark shades from his pocket and placed them on his head. He nodded as he looked at himself in a nearby mirror. “Yep, this is good.”
No sooner had he spoken than he heard the bedroom door open.
Winnie emerged from the bedroom, and Nicky’s breath caught in his throat.
“Dayyuuumm!” he exclaimed silently.
She wore a stunning black off-shoulder jumpsuit that accentuated her elegant slender frame and displayed a substantial, beautiful amount of her glowing black skin. Her eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and a hint of mischief as her dark shades rested on the top of her head.
Nicky couldn’t help it if he tried; there was just something about Winnie in an off-shoulder dress that always left him captivated and dumbfounded. She had worn one when they went on that date where he officially proposed to her, and her glowing aura in that dress was one of the reasons he blurted out ‘I want you’.
That same glowing aura was at its most piercing as she stood before him, dazzling him into a stupor.
She smiled slyly at him as she walked towards him, clearly relishing in the effect her appearance was having on him. “Hey, sweetie. I love your look,” she commented, laying a hand on his chest.
That little action of hers set off sparks in his brain. Looking at her gorgeously manicured white nails, he then looked at her. “Uh, th-thanks,” he stuttered. “You look amazing too.”
She smiled. “Thanks, honey. I do my best. Let’s get going, shall we?”
He watched as she quickly moved to the front door.
It had been months since he had thought this way about her. For a long time, he had forgotten how ridiculously hot his wife was. Of course, considering how focused he was on his anger, he wouldn’t have noticed. But now he did. And boy, did he like what he saw.
Damn, Winnie, how could I have forgotten what a babe you are!

The sun beat down on the asphalt of the go-kart race track, the air alive with the buzz of excitement as Nicky and Winnie sat in their kart at the starting line, their helmets in hand.
Across from them was a couple they had met just as they arrived at the race track. Buenortey and Ansomaa were their names, and they seemed like a pretty cute couple. They had gotten to talking, and once they got in, agreed to go head-to-head with them in a couples’ race.
The Koomson flashed mischievous grins as they revved their engines in anticipation. Buenortey and Ansomaa did same.
“Ready to chop dust, Mr. and Mrs. Koomson?” Buenortey called out, a playful twinkle in his eye.
Nicky chuckled, tightening the strap of his helmet with a determined grin. “We’ll see about that, Mr. Buenortey. Don’t underestimate us.”
Winnie nudged Nicky playfully, her eyes full of excitement. “We’ve got this, babe. Let’s show them what we’re made of!”
He grinned back at her and readied himself.
A few seconds rolled by…
… and the signal lights blinked to life, signaling the start of the race.
With a roar of engines, the two karts with the couple competitors surged forward, their tires screeching as they rounded the first corner. Nicky and Winnie surged forward, the wind whipping on their helmets as they navigated the twists and turns of the track with practiced ease. Beside them, Buenortey and Ansomaa kept pace, their laughter mingling with the sound of screeching tires.
As they navigated the twists and turns of the track, laughter and taunts filled the air, both from the racers and from the observing crowd.
“Haha! Inobi talk we dey take win race ooo!” Nicky gloated to Winnie. “Kasa yɛ nframa. Show working!”
“Tell them! We are showing working!” Winnie laughed. “No gree for anybody!”
As the laps progressed, though, Buenortey and Ansomaa caught up a few times, only to fall behind after a while. They kept up the pursuit, however, desperate to overtake the Koomsons. As Winnie had declared, though, they were not about to agree for anybody to beat them in this race.
Finally, after several exhilarating laps, the checkered flag waved in the distance, signaling the end of the race.
Neck and neck with Buenortey and Ansomaa, Nicky and Winnie took a look at them, determination on their faces.
“Step on it, babe!” Winnie urged.
“Way ahead of you, honey!” Nicky responded.
With a slam of the pedal to the floor, the Koomson kart surged ahead in a final burst of speed, crossing the finish line just inches ahead of their rivals.
As they skidded to a stop, victorious cheers erupted from the crowd, fully entertained with what they had just witnessed. Nicky and Winnie, their hearts pounding with adrenaline, hugged each other tightly.
“We did it, baby!” Nicky exclaimed, his grin stretching from ear to ear. “First place all day everyday!”
Winnie beamed with pride as she held her husband tightly in joy. “You know, right! I knew we could do it, Nicky! We’re an unbeatable team!”
“Oh yes, we are!”
Across the track, Buenortey and Ansomaa approached with good-natured smiles, offering congratulations to the victorious couple.
“Nice race, you two, and congratulations,” Buenortey admitted with a chuckle. “But don’t think this is the last you’ve seen of us!”
Nicky laughed, shaking Buenortey’s hand firmly. “Bring it on, Buenortey. We make ready for round two!”

After a few more races, the two couples decided to capture the memorable moments by taking pictures to commemorate the day. They found a picturesque spot near the track, with colorful banners in the background.
Ansomaa, holding her phone, directed Nicky and Winnie into a playful pose. “Alright, you two, get ready for the perfect shot!”
As Nicky took a relaxed pose, standing behind Winnie and putting an arm around her waist, a thought crossed her mind.
She was still in quite the naughty mood. So she lowered her shades and placed them on, then leaned against Nicky, rubbing herself against him in a very suggestive way. She smirked as the radiant smile on his face turned into a taken aback expression. As he looked at her with wide eyes, she gave him one super flirtatious look.
That moment was sweetly captured. Of course, the makeshift photographer and her husband saw Winnie’s actions, and they loved it.
“Eisshhhhhh!! This is proper ‘sugaring’ yourself on your husband ooo!” Ansomaa cheered, looking at the photo with utmost admiration.
“I tell you! Show him what’s his, my sister!” Buenortey egged on.
Grinning from ear to ear, Winnie loved the looks of surprise on Nicky’s face. She was loving his reactions. Her naughty mood was in full effect, and she didn’t care who saw it. This was her husband, and she was going to tease him for all he was worth. Remind him what a damn hottie she was. Give him some sauciness for being a good man to her those past few days.
And get him ready for an evening of glee.

After that little photo session, the two couples decided to unwind at a race track’s café, enjoying a moment of relaxation with drinks and laughter. The atmosphere was lively, and was vibrating with the hum of conversation.
As they received their drinks in the cozy corner they sat in, Ansomaa raised her glass in a toast. “To an unforgettable day! Cheers, everyone!”
The clink of bottles echoed, and they all took a sip of their drinks. The mood was light as they all laughed and exchanged stories, ranging from the various races to various things about them. Through that, the Koomsons got to know Mr. and Mrs. Buenortey had been married just over a year, and were enjoying life to the fullest. They were working on their own version of African superhero comics, and were in talks with certain investors to make things happen.
As they continued to chat and learn more about each other, Winnie felt the need to freshen up. So she announced, “Excuse me, guys, I’ll be right back. Nature calls.”
She gave Nicky a quick peck on the cheek before making her way to the restroom.
As Winnie walked away, Nicky couldn’t help but watch her, his eyes following her figure. She walked with a regal sway, her slender figure undeniably delightful to any pair of eyes watching her.
Ansomaa, noticing Nicky’s gaze, teased him playfully. “You can’t take your eyes off her, can you?”
Looking at her, Nicky grinned sheepishly. “It’s that obvious, eh?”
“Oh yeah. And don’t be shy, that’s your wife. Ain’t nothing to be ashamed of. I mean, I hope you don’t my saying it, but she… Winnie, right? She is an absolute babe!”
Nicky and Buenortey laughed. “Ei, Ansee!” the latter teased his wife. “You like that thing ooo.”
“But BuuBuu, isn’t it true? Look at her! So slim and sexy! My Lord, I wish I had her shape!”
Nicky couldn’t stop laughing at the look on Buenortey’s face. His wife was quite the opposite, with shapely hips that no doubt brought him much joy. So her claim wasn’t going down that well. “Madam, I don’t think your husband appreciates that.”
“Not at all. Babe, please, you’re sexy in your own right. No need to wish for her shape. Her shape is fire, yours too is fire. Abeg.”
Nicky couldn’t stop giggling. “Please, Mrs. Buenortey, for his sake, issokay, wai.”
“Oh, you know I’m just playing, my love,” Ansomaa jested her husband before turning to Nicky. “But, all jokes aside, you’ve got one hell of a babe for a wife. She is finnneeeeeeee!”
Buenortey nodded in agreement. “And she’s got this natural elegance about her, too,” he added. “And she seems very witty and pleasant-hearted as well. Bro, you nabbed her at the right time. You be hard guy, wai!”
Nicky laughed as he indulged Buenortey in a fist bump. “Chale, how we go do am? Once you spot queen like this diɛɛ, you for do the needful.”
Ansomaa nodded. “I pray you’ll always treat her like the queen she is, even as she treats you like the king you are. It’s no less than you both deserve.”
Nicky nodded. At the beginning of this week, hearing a statement like that would probably have sent him flying into a rage, livid at the thought of anyone referring to Winnie as a queen. In that state of rage, she was anything but a queen. Now that he was sober, though, he knew she was, and had to be treated like one.
And he would certainly do that, especially considering how he hadn’t done that in the last few months. An absolute babe like her deserved it.
“Yep. And let her have it tonight,” Buenortey whispered, a mischievous grin on his face.
The two looked at him in surprise. “BuuBuu!” Ansomaa admonished her husband.
“What? Aren’t they married? And haven’t you seen how she’s sugaring herself on him? See those sexy eyes she gave him when you took the picture. Massa, your wife dey give you green light for tonight ooo. Make you no slack! Give her a night to remember! You barb? Give herrrr!”
Well, it’s more than obvious that she’s out to work him up, so Nicky better listen to Buenortey. Long overdue.
By the way, recognize that couple? Yep, a lil crossover thingy!
