Welcome to the final season of Miss Acolatse! The last season was nothing short of phenomenal, getting accustomed to the lovely Flat Fam and their acceptance of Akushika. Now she’s given birth, and a shocking twist emerged: the reappearance of Drill! How the heck did that happen, and what’s going to happen next?
We are about to find out as this awesome series comes to an end!
Akushika could only stare in shock and disbelief at what she had just heard.
Was this real? Was this actually real?
How in the world was this boy standing before her? Calling a child he never wanted ‘property’. Demanding she follow him.
What the actual hell??!!
“Massa, did you hear me? I said get ready and let’s go!”
Her eyes fixed on the disheveled, raggedy Drill, a myriad of questions spun around her brain like Formula 1 cars on a track.
What the hell is he doing here? How did he find me? How the hell did he get in here? How did he get through the security? How the…
“Hey!”
That short bark, coupled with the snapping of his fingers, brought Akushika out of her question-filled reverie. Drill still stood there, looking as unpleasant as ever.
“Are you deaf or what? I said pack your bags and bring my thing and let’s go! We don’t have time!”
In a matter of seconds, shock turned to disgust.
And anger.
The absolute nerve of this bastard! Did he really think she was going to meekly agree to this silly order? Granted, she wasn’t fully fit to leave, but even if she was, the only people she would leave with was her Flat Fam.
Not this selfish creep who had treated her like garbage, and looked a bit like garbage himself.
Her lips tightened into a thin line as she narrowed her eyes at him and a snarl formed on her face while she held Ellen close.
“No,” she said, her voice low and calm, yet sharp enough to make her defiance known.
Drill blinked, his face twisting in disbelief. “What did you just say?”
“I said no, Drill. No way am I going anywhere with you,” she glared at him. “You don’t get to just walk in and demand I follow you like nothing’s wrong. I don’t know what you’re doing here, or how you found me, but I don’t want anything to do with you. Now get out of my ward!”
Drill’s confusion remained plastered on his face for a moment. Then it quickly morphed into anger.
For a moment, it looked like he was about to blow up in the fiercest way possible. Then suddenly, he stopped. Closed his eyes and stretched his hands out.
“You know what?” he uttered, his eyes still shut. “I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear any of that. And I’m going to be as polite as I can be. So, please, Akushika, can you pack your bags, bring my property along, and follow me so we get out of here?”
Akushika’s lip curled in contempt. As if that forced show of politeness was going to do anything appropriate.
And what the hell did he mean by calling Ellen property? She was a beautiful little human being, not some disposable item.
“I just gave you an answer, Drill. And it’s no. I don’t care how polite you claim you are. It’s no. I’m not going anywhere with you. I want nothing to do with you. You were dead to me the moment you drove me away, and I want it that way. So please, get out of my ward! And go back to wherever you came from.”
She then reached for the ‘Nurse Call’ button near her bed.
Drill began breathing in and out, his posture indicating a gradual loss of patience with her refusal to heed him.
“Akushika, I’m not going to repeat myself after this. Pack your bags and follow me. Right now.”
“Get out of my ward, Drill! Get out!” she hissed through clenched teeth, trying her best not to scream at him and frighten the little one in the process.
Drill’s eyes popped open.
Aggression was written all over them.
And while she was trying not to disturb Ellen, it was evident Drill could not be bothered in the slightest about that.
“WILL YOU STOP BEING STUPID? GET YOUR STUFF AND FOLLOW ME RIGHT NOW! I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR FOOLISHNE-“
In the midst of Ellen wailing at these shouts, the door miraculously opened.
And in stepped Remaliah and Drusilla.
The confusion was as clear as daylight on their faces as they stepped in and saw what was happening. The obvious question on their minds: who was this crusty human being shouting in Akushika’s ward and disturbing the sweet little newborn?
The tension in the room was immediate and thick as could be.
Remaliah glared at Drill, his voice low, menacing and steady. “Who the hell are you, and what are you doing in here?”
Drill turned to him, a snide, unimpressed look on his face. “And who the f**k are you to ask me that? Mind your own f**king business, old man. Who are you people barging in here like some Concert Party clowns, anyway?”
“Hey, hey, hey!” Drusilla snapped immediately, looking wholly revulsed at the sight of him. “Shut your mouth, young man! What do you mean? You think you can just storm in here, yelling like some crazed lunatic at a new mother and no one will call you out? Don’t you have any sense of decency? Will you get out of here? Come on, get out!”
Drill, looking totally unperturbed and unbothered by the fact that these were elderly people he was exchanging words with, sneered at her. “Stay out of it, you old hag. These are matters for intelligent men; this doesn’t concern you.”
Big mistake.
No sooner had those words departed from his mouth than Remaliah moved quickly towards him.
“Out! Now!”
Before Drill could attempt to play tough guy and puff up his chest, Remaliah grabbed him by the collar with a grip so firm it left no room for debate. Within seconds, the rough-looking young man had been dragged out of the ward, with Drusilla quickly rushing to the visibly shaken Akushika.

As the door clicked shut behind them, Drill stumbled backwards, somehow managing to keep himself from falling. As he stood straight and brushed himself in an attempt to regain his composure, his face twisted with fury as he glared up at Remaliah, who stood calmly, arms folded and staring with as much blazing intensity.
“Herh! Who the f**k do you think you are!” he spat viciously. “Kwasia, ibi me you dey do physical with? Old man like you, you don’t know I can beat you up? Or you figure you be Hulk Hogan? Bulls**t! Make we see how tough you be!”
Ready for battle, Drill lunged, fists balled and ready to rain a myriad of blows on the old man’s face.
But before he could even make contact, Remaliah’s hand shot out in a blur. With a heavy, deliberate motion, he delivered a sharp backhand slap across Drill’s chest. The type that was not enough to cause harm, but that which carried with it a force that stopped Drill in his tracks and sent a shockwave of pain radiating through his chest and ribs.
Gasping for breath, Drill stumbled back, clutching his chest with a wince.
“Aaaarghhhhh! Awurade, my chest!”
Remaliah simply loomed over him, his voice low but frighteningly menacing. “Don’t you ever, in your miserable little life, insult my wife again. Ever. And if you so much as return to that ward and look at Akushika the wrong way, I’ll make sure you regret it for the rest of your days on earth.”
While Drill continued to reel from the pain, the whispers and commotion around made it clear their exchange had drawn attention, as nearby nurses peeked out from behind the station, and a few visitors in the hallway slowed their steps, curiosity etched across their faces while they observed the scene.
Remaliah then turned sharply to the closest pair of nurses, pointing directly at them, then at Drill. “This man entered your hospital and was harassing a new mother in her ward and disturbing the peace. Call security immediately.”
The nurses exchanged wide-eyed glances before scrambling to pick up the phone.
“And while you’re at it,” Remaliah continued, his tone sharp as a blade, “I’d like an explanation as to how a low-life hooligan like him was allowed in there in the first place.”
Drill was just about regaining his composure when a few uniformed security guards appeared at the end of the corridor, summoned by the nurses. They quickened their pace at the sight of the scene.
Remaliah stepped aside with a nod. “Get this piece of nonsense out of here. And make sure he never comes anywhere near that ward—or this hospital, for that matter.”
“Herh, make you no touch me!” Drill barked as the guards reached for his arm, but his protests were met with little sympathy. These guards were professionals and knew trouble when they saw it. Within moments, Drill was firmly in their grip, and was being dragged down the hallway, protesting and cussing in vain.

“Oh, honey,” Drusilla murmured, her expression soft as always as she moved to a trembling Akushika’s side. She crouched next to the bed, gently stroking the young mother’s head while a nurse who just entered went to pick up Ellen and calm her as much as possible. “It’s okay now. He’s gone. You’re safe.”
Akushika nodded, trembling as she leaned on her shoulder, deeply shaken by that sudden turn of events. She looked up at the nurse, who had cradled a wailing Ellen in her arms and was gently shushing her. She shook her head.
Good God, how did he find me? How in the world did he find me?
“Sweetheart, you don’t have to say a word if you’re not ready, but… who was that? Why was he yelling at you like that?” Drusilla asked curiously.
Akushika took a deep breath. Her sweet ‘mother’ was hardly going to believe this, but then again, not even she could believe it herself.
“That… that’s Drill,” she whispered, her voice cracking on his name.
It took a moment for the name to sink in. Drusilla frowned as her eyebrows furrowed. “Wait, you mean… that’s Drill? The one who—?”
Akushika nodded. “Yes. That’s the one. The one who got me pregnant and denied responsibility.”
The confusion on the older lady’s face turned into shock.
“But… but… b-b-but how did he even know you were here? That you’d given birth?” Drusilla wondered out loud.
Akushika shook her head. “I don’t have the slightest idea, Maa Dru. I never would have imagined he’d show up here in the first place.”
“Ei. And what at all did he want?” Drusilla continued to wonder.
A tear ran down Akushika’s cheek. “He… he said I should leave and follow him with the baby.”
Drusilla shook her head in disgust. “He must be mad. After denying responsibility and leaving you to your fate, he’s now walking in here and demanding you follow him? While he’s looking like some junkie with no sense of purpose in life? God forbid!”
Akushika closed her eyes as more tears began to form. “I don’t know why he’s here, but… I don’t want him around, Maa Dru. I don’t want him near my baby. I don’t, I don’t…”
“Sssshhhh, it’s alright, sweetheart,” Drusilla calmed her, hugging her tightly. “Don’t worry about that. As long as we’re here, he’s not coming for you, alright? We won’t let him. Don’t worry, Shika. We’re here for you, and we’ll always be.”
Calming down as Drusilla held her tightly, Akushika felt a warm rush of confidence. Indeed, as scared as she was right then, she knew the Mills-Odoi couple would protect her. There was no way Remaliah would let that despicable young man have his way with her again; he’d happily deliver a ‘Double Cheeseburger’ before that would happen.
But even as she felt that reassurance, the same question continued to run sprints around her mind. A question everyone who knew her story would ask.
How did he find me?
That’s the question we need an answer to. How the hell did Drill find her?
